Virtual Reality Enhances Media Training at "FOMEX" – The Largest Specialized Media Exhibition in the Middle East

For three days, the "Waad" Initiative offered visitors of the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) an interactive experience, allowing them to attend a training session on the fundamentals of media presentation using virtual reality (VR) technology. The initiative, organized as part of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s programs, showcased innovative approaches to media skills development. The course provided an immersive training experience, guiding participants on a dynamic journey to refine their media skills—whether as presenters, speakers, or professionals in fields that demand effective communication abilities. By utilizing VR headsets, trainees were transported into a realistic 3D simulation environment, enabling them to engage deeply with the training and navigate real-world scenarios in media presentation. The initiative aims to empower the next generation of media professionals through specialized training programs, conducted in collaboration with private sector partners. Visitors to the Saudi Media Forum had the opportunity to register for these courses free of charge, gaining hands-on training in media presentation, advertising campaigns, impact strategies, professional media production, interactive content creation, and personal branding development. Spanning three days, FOMEX served as a major platform, bringing together over 250 local and international companies to showcase the latest technological advancements and innovations across all aspects of the media industry. The exhibition provided a hub for experts and creatives to exchange ideas, insights, and experiences, shaping the future of content creation, production, and broadcasting.
