The Saudi Broadcasting Authority participated in the International Exhibition for Digital Media and Satellite Communications “CABSAT,” held from May 21 to 23 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as part of its efforts to enhance media presence regionally and internationally.
The Authority's participation featured a pavilion mirroring the concept of the annual “Future of Media Exhibition – FOMEX,” which it organizes each year in Riyadh.
Through its presence at CABSAT—an exhibition with a 30-edition legacy attracting media professionals, organizations, and industry leaders—the Authority succeeded in drawing a wide range of visitors, officials, and specialists. The event offered a platform to showcase the Authority’s role and promote its flagship exhibition, in addition to exploring the latest innovations in media technology and seeking methods to elevate the quality of Saudi media production.
During the exhibition, a long-term strategic agreement was signed between the Saudi Broadcasting Authority and the Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat), aiming to expand global coverage and enhance the reach of Saudi media channels across North and South America, Asia, and Africa.
President of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, Mohammed Al-Harthi, stated that the participation reflects the Authority’s commitment to staying abreast of emerging trends in media production, viewing it as essential for preserving the relevance of traditional media and reinforcing its impact.
Additionally, the FOMEX team announced the opening of registration for entities interested in participating in the upcoming edition of the exhibition. The team has already begun early planning to ensure that the next edition aligns with the expectations and needs of its visitors.
