The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) is participating in the Saudi Media Forum 2025, set to take place in Riyadh from February 19 to 21, 2025. The ministry’s participation aims to reinforce its role in empowering national talents, enhancing labor market readiness, and supporting the development of the media sector in Saudi Arabia.
Through its interactive pavilion, the ministry will showcase a range of initiatives and programs designed to develop skills, foster knowledge exchange, and align media capabilities with labor market needs. This initiative underscores HRSD’s commitment to supporting media professionals and specialists, while also highlighting its efforts in communication and media engagement.
Among the key initiatives featured is "Skills Surveys", launched in collaboration with the World Bank. This initiative serves as a strategic tool for assessing and analyzing the skills needed across various sectors, including the media industry, with the goal of bridging the gap between labor market supply and demand.
Additionally, the ministry will present the "Volunteer Your Expertise" initiative, introduced by HRSD Minister Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, to promote a culture of knowledge-sharing among professionals and benefit from the expertise of executive leaders across multiple fields, including media.
Since its launch, the initiative has attracted the participation of over 300 experts and specialists, including 40 ministers and high-ranking officials. It has facilitated more than 6,000 individual consultations, benefiting over 4,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds.
At the forum, the ministry will also introduce specialized training programs as part of the "Waad" National Training Campaign, which aims to develop national human capital and encourage private sector investment in workforce training. In its first phase, Waad provided over 1.3 million training opportunities, and in its second phase, it aims to deliver 3 million new training opportunities in partnership with 58 organizations.
The ministry’s media-focused programs at the forum will include virtual reality television presenting, media campaign strategies, professional media production, and interactive content creation, ensuring that media professionals are equipped with the latest global best practices to enhance their skills and industry presence.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development invites media professionals and industry enthusiasts to visit its pavilion at the forum, engage in "Volunteer Your Expertise" sessions, benefit from "Skills Surveys" insights, and participate in "Waad" training programs. These initiatives will contribute to enhancing Saudi media content, improving workforce competencies, and creating new opportunities for media skill development in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
