The President of the Saudi Media Forum and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, Mohammed Al-Harthi, honored the team behind the Forum's initiatives in recognition of their outstanding efforts that have transformed the Forum into a productive platform for impactful media projects and initiatives.
Al-Harthi praised the tangible impact and wide engagement achieved by the Forum’s initiatives, noting that the significant local and international participation reflects the capability of Saudi media to lead, innovate, and create — not just to react. He stressed that institutional work is what has given these initiatives their lasting impact and sustainability, underlining the importance of converting them into year-round programs that serve the media sector.
The Forum has launched a range of pioneering initiatives that form a core component of its programming. Among them is the “Jusoor Al-Ealam” initiative, aimed at building strategic ties between global media production companies and Saudi talent and startups. Another key initiative is “Media Ambassadors”, developed in collaboration with media colleges and departments across Saudi universities, designed to empower students in media-related fields and prepare them to represent the Kingdom in local and international forums. The initiative has so far engaged 14 media ambassadors from various universities.
Other initiatives include “SMF Connect”, which bridges media and language to promote cultural understanding and broaden global dialogue, and “Saudi MIB”, launched in partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA). The latter leverages AI technologies to develop media content and turn innovative ideas into actionable tech-driven projects. The program has seen high engagement, with over 80 participants, and three winning projects selected after multiple evaluation rounds.
These initiatives have been activated in international events such as the CABSAT Festival, and are currently being featured in Tunisia during the Arab Radio and Television Festival.
