The Saudi Media Forum, in its fourth edition, has launched the "Spotlight" Initiative, a key feature of the event held in Riyadh from February 19 to 21. The initiative aims to highlight Saudi Arabia’s developmental and transformational projects, leveraging soft power as a strategic tool to enhance the Kingdom’s regional and international standing as a global leader in progress and innovation.
Visitors to the forum engaged with detailed presentations by the Spotlight Initiative team, gaining insights into the selected projects showcased at this edition. These presentations shed light on the efforts of teams driving these initiatives, along with the success stories that bring Saudi Arabia’s ambitious vision to life.
Among the standout projects was Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, marking the first public display of designs for 15 stadiums to be constructed across the Kingdom by 2034. These stadium designs, each reflecting the cultural identity of their respective host cities, captivated forum attendees with their innovation and aesthetic appeal.
Visitors also explored the Red Sea Global Company, recognized as one of the most ambitious tourism ventures worldwide, featuring its flagship destinations: The Red Sea, Amaala, and the exclusive Thuwal Resort. The company is set to introduce 19 additional destinations by 2025, further solidifying Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading global tourism hub.
The 2025 Handicrafts Initiative, another highlight of the forum, garnered significant engagement, with visitors capturing photographs at the initiative’s specially designed pavilion. Inspired by the iconic Al-Ahsa jar, the pavilion showcased Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural identity and its thriving creative industries, featuring unique artisanal crafts and the exceptional craftsmanship of Saudi artisans on an international stage.
The "Foundation Pavilion", presented through the Spotlight Initiative, provided both local and international visitors with a deeper understanding of Saudi Arabia’s cultural and historical roots. It highlighted the foundational values and principles upon which the First Saudi State was established in 1727, demonstrating its historical continuity and legacy.
The Saudi Media Forum serves as a prominent platform for media leaders, experts, and researchers, drawing participation from media professionals worldwide. The event is dedicated to keeping pace with industry developments, discussing modern media strategies and perspectives, and fostering knowledge exchange. It plays a crucial role in enhancing media expertise, shaping influential narratives, and elevating media content production to new heights.
