The Third Edition of the “Saudi Media Forum” will be Launched Next February

The CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, and President of the Saudi Media Forum, Mohammed Al-Harithi, announced during the ceremony held by the Authority to celebrate World Television Day, the launch date of the “Saudi Media Forum 2024” in its third edition, which is organized by the SBC in cooperation with the Saudi Journalists Association, from 19-21, 2024.

 

The Saudi Media Forum, in its third edition, comes as a continuation of the previous success it witnessed in its first and second editions, and an emphasis on the importance of the forum and its effective role in achieving an extended positive impact in the media space in an effort to develop the Saudi media industry and discover its latest technologies in light of a changing world at all levels, including the media sector, creating a vibrant and effective community for investment opportunities and exchanging local and international experiences in the media field, in addition to enhancing the Kingdom’s position in the media through a media forum that attracts the world towards it, including highlighting the most prominent local and international media experiences.

 

Al Harithi thanked His Excellency the Minister of Media, Salman Al Dosari, for his support and interest in everything that serves the media system in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of the Saudi media keeping pace with the journey of achieving the nation’s ambitious vision, which is inseparable from media roles, including holding media forums and forums in this regard. Its magnitude, which confirms the state of civilization that the Kingdom is experiencing in terms of intellectual growth and cultural depth, in addition to openness to others and moving forward towards achieving the principle of acceptance, coexistence and exchanging experiences through a global media forum.

 

He stressed the importance of building and strengthening bridges of communication with all local and international media institutions in order to achieve a positive impact, pointing out that holding such specialized media events will contribute to the quality level of the media industry and push it to keep pace with the latest technologies of that constantly changing industry.

 

He also stated that the forum will be held as part of its activities, the Future of Media Exhibition “FOMEX” under the title The Future of Media, starting from February 19-21. It is an artistic, technical and media exhibition that is considered the largest of its kind in the Middle East, which reviews modern experiences in the media industry and the activation of modern television and radio production activity. In addition to keeping pace with the rapid pace of media transformations by attracting leading companies and expertise in the field of global production. The exhibition is also an opportunity for those passionate about the fields of media by holding several specialized and qualitative workshops, presented by a group of specialists, academics and practitioners who possess experience and competence in various fields of media.

 

He stated that the Authority was keen to include the target groups in the forum and the accompanying exhibition, out of its belief that modern media is no longer limited to media institutions as it was in the past, but rather that everyone who has a means of communicating with others can deliver his media message.

 

The forum concludes by crowning the male and female winners of the “Saudi Media Forum Award” in its third edition, which is awarded with each session of the forum. This award comes based on the Authority’s belief in the importance of honoring actors in local and regional media work, in a way that creates fair competition between creators in the field of media, and stimulates Media competencies from individuals and groups to provide distinguished media works, which contribute to introducing the pioneering Saudi experiences in the field of media and communication, and in appreciation of the personalities who contribute to the media process in order to enhance their presence locally and in the Arab world, through participation in the award’s six tracks, which are: Journalism, Audiovisual Production, Research Papers, Digital Media, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Media Personality of the Year 2024, as the Authority was keen to diversify the award paths to include all media methods, thus providing greater opportunity for everyone who is interested to nominate for the award.
